The Wessex School of QI holds evening events to support individuals within the Health Education England (Wessex) area who are involved in or have an interest in local quality improvement initiatives. These events include external speakers, some workshop style learning, and the opportunity for showcasing and sharing local QI initiatives via short presentations.

Conversations to help people work safely - 1 February 2018

The School of QI were pleased to welcome Dr Suzette Woodward, National Campaign Director, Sign up to Safety, to lead the workshop at this event. This session introduced the concept of working safely and provided some thoughts on what we can all do differently to support each other within healthcare.

The School of QI were pleased to welcome Helen Crisp, Assistant Director of Research at the Health Foundation, to speak at the School’s QI Evening Event in April. This event focussed on the importance of context for successful improvement work and gave an overview of the research the Health Foundation is supporting to build this knowledge base.

The School of QI were pleased to welcome Professor Bill Lucas to speak at our evening event in October. Prof Lucas introduced the thought paper he has published in conjunction with the Health Foundation.
