The Courses and Conferences Centre is part of South Central SHA and underpins ongoing professional development of health professionals and the workforce in the region.
The Courses and Conferences Centre portfolio provides and supports a range of high quality programmes. These are developed, delivered and quality assured in conjunction with a faculty of course directors. This ensures that the programmes are relevant, accessible and that they meet the needs of the South Central workforce.
The Courses and Conferences Centre administers courses and conferences for the SHA, as well as the two Deaneries within South Central (Wessex and Oxford). The Wessex Deanery portfolio consists of:
Fun, interactive and challenging programmes; designed to enhance the skills necessary to be successful in any leadership role.
Courses and programmes; designed to provide training support for educational supervisors, prospective to experienced GP trainers and trainee teachers.
A range of high standard specialty courses for trainees.
Courses to help prepare trainees for Royal College examinations.
The Courses and Conferences Centre has developed an interactive online Course Booking Management System (CBMS). This system enables users to book places on events and pay online in one simple transaction. Users are also able to manage and track their booking status.
