Putting down roots

If you are looking to put down roots, the Wessex region is a great place to settle. As one of the sunniest regions in the UK, there is plenty here to make you want to stay.

House prices generally reflect the fact that it is a relatively affluent region, lying outside the green belt area of restricted development around London. Schools and colleges across the area are generally of a good quality, with many holding ‘outstanding’ Ofsted reports.

There are excellent rail and motorway links to the rest of the UK, making it easy to take a day trip to enjoy places further afield, or to travel back ‘home’. The regional airports at Bournemouth and Southampton offer a convenient means by which to visit various destinations, and airports slightly further afield (Bristol and London airports, for example) are not too much further away.
